Telekom Serbia has become the majority owner of Kurir.

Mondo INC, a company registered for the distribution of cinematographic works, audiovisual works, and television programs, has been majority-owned by Telekom Srbija since December 31, 2025.

According to data published in the Business Register of the Business Registers Agency (APR), Telekom owns 80 percent of Mondo INC, while the previous owner, WMG Media, led by Igor Žeželj, retains 20 percent of the shares.

Mondo INC is listed in the Media Register of the APR as the publisher of the daily newspaper Kurir, as well as the portal Kurir.rs, Kurir Television, the newspaper Doktor Kurir, and Kurir Stars, in addition to the portals Espreso and Yumama, and the magazines "Elle," "Glossy," "Lepa i Srećna," and "Sensa."

With the acquisition of ownership of Mondo INC, Telekom has effectively become the owner of its subsidiary Firefly Productions, which has ten employees and business revenues of nearly six million euros. This company is registered for the production of cinematographic works, audiovisual products, and television programs.

According to the registry data, Telekom Srbija is recorded as the owner of 80 percent of Mondo INC, with a cash contribution of 1.76 billion dinars and a non-cash contribution of 1.49 billion dinars.

Žeželjeva's company WMG Media holds 20 percent of the shares, with a cash contribution of 439.9 million dinars and a non-cash contribution of 373 million dinars.

It has long been known that Telekom Srbija plans to acquire Mondo INC, and this was publicly confirmed in September 2024 when the Macedonian Commission for the Protection of Competition announced that the Serbian telecom operator had officially informed them about it.

As a reminder, Telekom Srbija signed a contract in October 2018 with Wireless Media (then the sole owner of Mondo) to invest 37.9 million euros in the development and creation of an integrated digital media platform, Mondo. This contract stipulated that the state telecom operator would have the right to purchase the ownership stake in Mondo INC, which publishes the daily newspaper Kurir, after five years. Meanwhile, in October 2023, amended media laws were adopted, allowing the state telecom operator to own media entities.

These regulations were adopted about ten days after the expiration of the five-year term outlined in the aforementioned contract. Subsequently, Mondo was transferred from Wireless Media to the ownership of WMG Media (within Igor Žeželj's Wireless Media Group - WMG), and the original parent company (Wireless Media) changed its name and is no longer part of Žeželjeva's group (under the same registration number, this company is now called Smart Ventures d.o.o. and is owned by an individual not connected to WMG).
