The RTS Management Board has been without two-thirds of its members since July 14.
Branislav Klanšček, Miroslav M. Nikolić, Branko Radun, Milivoj Pavlović, and Ljiljana Đurđevac will complete their five-year term on the Board of Directors of Radio-Television of Serbia (RTS) on Monday, July 13.

Considering that the mandate of the recently departed member, Šćepan Praščević, expired in December of last year, the RTS Management Board will have only one third, or three out of nine members, starting Tuesday, July 14.
Klanšček: "What comes next?" is not a question for me
This information was confirmed for UNS by the President of the RTS Management Board, Branislav Klanšček.
“Your information is accurate. Starting Tuesday, the RTS Management Board will have only three members. Praščević's mandate expired earlier, and he has not participated in the work of the Management Board since the expiration of his term. This body currently has eight out of nine members,” said Klanšček.
In response to UNS's inquiry about how the Management Board will function when the majority's mandates expire, Klanšček stated that this is not a question for him.
“The fact is that three members of the Management Board are not sufficient for decision-making; there is not even a simple majority, let alone the two-thirds majority required for certain decisions. However, that is a question for the REM, but since the REM Council does not exist, I assume it is for the Assembly or the Information Committee. This cannot be resolved quickly at this moment,” he stated.
It is worth noting that according to the Law on Public Media Services, the members of the Management Board are appointed and dismissed by the REM Council, with a two-thirds majority of the total number of members.
The Regulatory Council, as stipulated by this Law, announces a public competition for the appointment of members of the Management Board six months prior to the expiration of the members' terms.
Since the REM Council has not been constituted for more than a year and a half, competitions for members of the public service Management Board could not be announced.
In addition to the five members whose mandates expire on Monday, the members of the RTS Management Board also include Predrag Azdejković, Nenad Janković, and Filip Rodić.
Šćepan Praščević was appointed as a member of the RTS Management Board on December 21, 2020, which means his mandate expired at the end of 2025. On the RTS website, Praščević's name does not appear in the section listing the members of the RTS Management Board.
UNS inquired with the REM about how this body will function after the expiration of the mandates of the Management Board members, but we did not receive a response before the publication of this text.
Azdejković, Janković, and Rodić remain on the RTS Management Board
Predrag Azdejković was appointed as a member of the RTS Management Board on October 7, 2022, meaning his mandate expires in 2027, while Filip Rodić was appointed on June 7, 2024, and his term lasts until 2029.
Nenad Janković was initially appointed as a member of the RTS Management Board in 2019 and was reappointed on February 8, 2024, which means his mandate lasts until the same date in 2029.
