Vreme Editorial: Lončar's statements endanger the safety of journalists.
The editorial board of the weekly Vreme has assessed that the recent statements made by Health Minister Zlatibor Lončar endanger the safety of their editorial team, as well as their colleagues from N1, Nova S, and Danas, and that these statements "prove that he is unworthy of public office."

This editorial states that Lončar used the statement of Member of Parliament Miodrag Gavrilović, which was reported by Vreme, after which he "falsely accused Vreme of spreading panic."
"Lončar did not stop there. In addition to his disgraceful statement about spreading panic, he repeatedly claimed that everything reported by Vreme, N1, Nova S, and Danas is a lie in the service of a 'colored revolution.' With this serious defamation and hate speech, he directly targeted and dangerously threatened the safety of the members of the aforementioned editorial boards. Vreme will use all available legal mechanisms to protect itself from the attacks of Zlatibor Lončar and will inform domestic and foreign journalistic organizations about yet another serious blow to the safety and freedom of the media," the statement published on the media's website reads.
Vice President of the Democratic Party Miodrag Gavrilović previously stated on social media that the sixteen-year-old boy who was beaten at the protest in Valjevo is "in very serious condition" and that his "kidneys have failed."
Lončar later denied the claims that the minor was injured at the protest in Valjevo, as well as that doctors are "fighting for his life."
According to him, all individuals who have published such information and spread panic—both politicians and media—will receive criminal charges from the Ministry of Health.
"I ask all citizens of Serbia to know that when news comes from N1, Nova S, Vreme, Danas, and others, it is a pure lie, a hundred percent lie. These are facts, and time has shown this so far. I hope that citizens have understood that this is a classic scenario of colored revolutions," the Minister of Health stated.
