The annual award of the Novi Sad School of Journalism "Marina Kovačev" was presented in Novi Sad, with the recipients including the university media Blokada.info and Univerzitetski odjek, as well as the editorial team of 021 and Subotica's Magločistač.
The award that has been presented for many years to the best young journalists in Serbia was this year awarded to young representatives from as many as 12 newsrooms.
In addition to those mentioned, this year's laureates also include the portal Zoomer, Južne vesti, Storyteller, Kompas, Mašina, A1 TV Net from Novi Pazar, Razglas News from Novi Sad, as well as Res Publika from Kragujevac.
Student Natalia Petrović from Blokade.info expressed great honor on behalf of the newsroom.
“We have been around for less than a year, and our newsroom was truly born out of revolution. We feel immense gratitude to the citizens who recognize our work and effort,” she said.
Media outlets that most frequently published false and manipulative content throughout the year were also awarded "recognitions" – the Golden Pinocchio to Informer, the Silver Pinocchio to Večernje novosti, and the Bronze Pinocchio to the publication Alo.
