Veran Matić: Vučić has given the green light for attacks against me (VIDEO)
“On the street, they attack me, push me, and threaten to cut off my head. Five journalists are in life-threatening danger. We practically have no protection.”

In just a few days, journalist Veran Matić has been attacked in Serbia, and the car of journalist Dinko Gruhonjić's son has been vandalized.
We spoke with Veran Matić, a long-time editor, journalist, and humanitarian, about the increasingly frequent attacks and pressures on journalists in Serbia, his role regarding missing persons from the wars of the 1990s, and the current relationship between Croatia and Serbia.
"More than five of our colleagues' lives are endangered due to prolonged targeting and the creation of conditions that make their lives vulnerable to attack. At this moment, we have two journalists who have been relocated outside the country, and soon there will be another one because there is no part of Serbia where they can feel safe," says Matić in an interview with Vida.
