Guide for Journalists: How to Recognize That Your Rights Are Threatened and Whom to Contact for Assistance
In light of the increasingly frequent attacks, threats, and pressures faced by journalists and other media workers, both at the local level and across the entire country, the Media and Reform Center Niš has developed a special handbook to assist colleagues in identifying the issues that arise during their journalistic work and to point out whom they can contact to protect their rights.

“Guide to Attacks, Threats, and Pressures with Protection Mechanisms” is a unique manual of its kind that will assist journalists and other media professionals in quickly, easily, and simply familiarizing themselves with their rights. Additionally, they will learn how to respond if their rights are in any way denied or threatened.
From external attacks and threats originating outside the newsroom to internal pressures that colleagues face from their editors or media management, which are often not even recognized as problems—this Manual comprehensively highlights a wide range of rights violations.
In this way, journalists will have all the information they need in one place on how to identify potential attacks, threats, and pressures, and whom to contact for assistance.
