UNS: The Municipality of Bečej should allocate funds for co-financing media projects.
The Association of Journalists of Serbia (UNS) protests that the draft budget for 2026 proposed by the Municipality of Bečej allocates all 10 million designated for information to be paid for "contract services."

For the year 2026, an additional 62 million dinars is allocated for project co-financing of media at the national level.

Millions for Media in Inđija: Audit Points to Non-Transparent Practices, Lawyers Remind – Embezzlement Does Not Expire After 20 Years
The Municipality of Inđija has allocated more than 32 million dinars for media content in its proposed budget for 2026, while lawyers and auditors warn that in previous years, most of the funds were distributed non-transparently, outside of a competitive process, and without clear reporting.

A journalist, Sergej Ivanov, received a threatening phone call from an unknown person: "...those who write lies about me, something may happen to them...". The threat arrived after he published a post on his Facebook profile regarding the possible opening of a lignite mine in the vicinity of Dimitrovgrad, just before a public discussion on the Draft Detailed Regulatory Plan for the "Mazgoš" deposit was scheduled to take place. The case has been reported to the competent prosecutor's office, and there has been a significant reaction from the professional community.

Journalists and Stress: Let's Get Treated
Journalists are not "people of a special kind" from whom traumas bounce off like they are made of stone, without consequences or pain. In the complete lawlessness that prevails during demonstrations in Serbia, without police and prosecutors taking any action for our protection, a profession that exposes its employees to extraordinary levels of stress even in normal circumstances becomes truly harmful and dangerous for its own people. It is high time we equip young people in this profession with the knowledge and skills that will extend their careers and make them healthier and more resilient.

NUNS: The competition for the director of RTS is burdened by suspicion of a conflict of interest and double standards.
The Independent Association of Journalists of Serbia (NUNS) finds it deeply problematic that Branislav Klanšček, the current President of the Management Board of RTS, has been recognized as a "regular" candidate for the position of General Director of the public service – and this by the very Management Board that decides who will be appointed to that position.

Karadžić: I plan to, but for now I will not announce new competitions for the director of the program at RTV and seven main editors.
"The new competitions for the program director and seven chief and responsible editors will be announced when all conditions are met and when I assess that it is the most effective for the organization," said Goran Karadžić, the General Director of Radio-Television Vojvodina, today for UNS.
