Veran Matić: Today, hate speech comes from the top of the government, and the response to it is solidarity and empathy.
“That hatred is now directed against one’s own people, against those who think differently,” warned the president of ANEM, Veran Matić, assessing that hate speech in Serbia today “comes directly from the top of the government.” He stated that society is facing an atmosphere of fear, targeting, and violence, while he sees the only response as “love, empathy, and solidarity,” which, according to him, were demonstrated by the student protests.

Commissioner Antonijević: Public Warning Regarding the Statement of the Editor-in-Chief of Informer
Every criminal act has a name and surname, not a nationality, and if there were thefts of cables or threats to railway traffic over the weekend, this should be addressed by the police, the prosecutor's office, and the relevant public enterprises, based on facts and evidence, said the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality, Milan Antonijević, in response to the statement made by the chief editor of Informer, Dragan J. Vučićević.

RTS is the largest advertiser in tabloids, with contracts worth 780 thousand euros over the past five years.
The public service broadcaster has, from 2020 to the present, contracted advertising for its own TV programs in pro-regime tabloids worth over 90 million dinars (approximately 780,000 euros), according to data from the Public Procurement Administration. RTS is the largest individual advertiser on the list of around forty public institutions and organizations that issue tenders for advertising and award contracts to tabloids. Why RTS, a non-commercial television station with the widest coverage, needs advertising in other media, particularly the least professional ones, remains unanswered by the public service.

In Montenegro, the broadcasting of the television channel Informer is limited to six months.
Due to the continuous broadcasting of content that insults the dignity of the Montenegrin people, denies Montenegrin national identity, incites hate speech and discrimination, and demeans the dignity of citizens and institutions of Montenegro, the Council of the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services (SAMU) has made a decision to temporarily limit the reception and rebroadcasting of the entire program of "Informer TV," whose broadcaster is the company "Insajder Team" d.o.o. from Serbia, as announced by the AMU.

Commissioner of the Council of Europe: A collapsed market where state funds are directed towards pro-government media.
After his visit to Serbia from May 18 to 21, 2026, the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights, Michael O'Flaherty, stated that the situation has worsened since his previous visit in April 2025.

Project co-financing: Alo and Informer have received a total of 21.4 million so far in media competitions.
Based on the competition for project co-financing of media content in Serbia for the year 2026, funds have so far been distributed to 28 local governments, amounting to a total of over 355 million dinars.

We know where you are, we know what you do, we can come to your doorstep: Attacks on Storyteller.
While a panel discussion on the polarization of Serbian society was being held at the editorial office of the local Slovak-Serbian media outlet Storyteller at the end of April, stands of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party were "coincidentally" positioned in front of the doors. For the journalists of this independent minority media from Kulpin, this is neither the first nor, they say, probably the last pressure they are experiencing. This is their story.

Millions from the Belgrade budget for "petty theft" of other people's texts.
For three projects related to children, health, and cultural landmarks in Belgrade, Informer received 10.5 million dinars (approximately 90,000 euros) from the Belgrade budget last year. We scrutinized the content published under these projects: not only were the articles that cost millions short, superficial, and trivial, but in some cases, journalists "lifted" sentences and paragraphs from other media or their own older articles, and for the project on cultural landmarks in Belgrade (3.5 million dinars), they even plagiarized texts from the official city website. They were no less lazy when it came to sourcing interviewees, as they simply used quotes from other media for some articles without citing the sources.
