Through the Instagram account KUMZORZO12 (kumzorzo122019) https://www.instagram.com/kumzorzo122019/?hl=en an individual issued a threat to journalist Lazar Dinić, stating that they would attack his life and body with the words: “Ustaša, your end is near, I will fuck your mother, the Ustaša whore,” and also sent a threat to journalist Ivan Bjelić via Instagram message, saying: “Ustaška little bitch, I will find you, you will scream like a pig, I fuck everything living and dead, Ustaša son of a whore, I will rip your Ustaša heart out, I will cut you into pieces, tick-tock keyboard warriors.”

In the report submitted to the High-Tech Crime Prosecutor's Office by lawyer Veljko Milić, an operator at the Safe Line for reporting threats and attacks on journalists, it was noted that these threats constitute the criminal offense of endangering safety as per Article 138, paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code.

These threats were made after journalists Lazar Dinić and Ivan Bjelić shared a media post from Revolt, which stated that a certain Đorđe Hrnjak was one of the attackers on journalist Žarko Bogosavljević on February 16, 2026, in front of the Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad, a matter already reported to the Higher and Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Novi Sad.

“The swift reaction of the prosecutors in Novi Sad, who requested from the police all information about the assailants and violence against journalists, demands an urgent response from the police — the apprehension of the identified attacker on Žarko Bogosavljević, who has committed a new criminal offense with these threats. Only by arresting and swiftly prosecuting can we prevent this obviously uncontrolled violent individual from attacking the life and body of Lazar Dinić and Ivan Bjelić, as well as other female and male journalists. ANEM demands that effective measures be taken to prevent the perpetrator and the escalation of violence against journalists. The past year was absolutely record-breaking in terms of the number of threats and attacks, and already in the first month and a half of this year, it is evident that the number of attacks could be even higher. We must not allow violence or any media worker to suffer,” stated Veran Matić, President of the ANEM Board of Directors, Coordinator of the Safe Line for reporting threats and attacks on journalists, and Member of the Permanent Working Group for the Safety of Journalists.

The project “System for the Prevention of Violence and Protection of Journalists” is being implemented by ANEM in partnership with Insajder TV and the Center for the Development of Local Media, with the support of the European Union.

The OSCE Mission in Serbia has supported ANEM's project “24/7 SOS Hotline for Journalists and Other Vulnerable Media Workers,” as part of the project funded by the European Union “Strengthening Freedom of Expression and Media Freedom in Serbia.”
