Center for Sustainable Communities: Project Co-Financing of Media Content

The project under which this web application was developed ("From Open Data to Higher Quality Project Co-Financing of Media Content") was supported by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia in 2020 and 2021 (whose portfolio is now managed by the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications) and the OSCE Mission to Serbia with the aim of making this process, which is important for the media, media professionals, and citizens, more transparent. The data collection for 2022 was also supported by USAID.

The web application allows for searching data by project submitter, by the authority that allocated the funds, as well as by the themes represented in the completed projects. Additionally, data, the methodology related to the data and its collection, and the entire publication are available for download, which includes methodological notes and recommendations, as well as a text on the history of project co-financing in Serbia. The data is also available on the Open Data Portal.

This page summarizes data for all years of project co-financing, and all authorities that allocated funds to the media based on the Law on Public Information and Media are represented.

The database is available at this link.
