Overview of Media Grants: Who Received the Most Funding in 69 Local Governments
Based on the competition for project co-financing of media content in Serbia for the year 2026, funds have thus far been distributed to 69 local self-governments, totaling nearly 723 million dinars.

Three local governments are still delayed in publishing the calls for this year, given that the deadline was March 1, specifically Surdulica, Vrbas, and Gadžin Han.
According to an analysis by the Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) on the first 69 completed media competitions, the most funding was received by Radiotelevizija Pančevo – nearly 30 million dinars, followed by Zona plus from Niš with almost 28 million, and INI media from Niš with 26 million.
Over 20 million in previous competitions went to Televizija Pirot, RTV Novi Pazar, and Radio Televizija Kraljevo, with each receiving nearly 20 million, Radio Televizija Trstenik received more than 15 million, the same amount as Vision Craft from Niš. Between 10 and 15 million was awarded to Kopreniksus Cable Network from Niš, Vranjska Plus, RTV Vranje, RTV Kruševac, RTV Caribrod, TV-5, VTV from Subotica, and Sremska S from Šid.
When considering ownership, the most funding went to the publishers of tabloids Alo and Informer, who are record holders for violating the Journalist Code of Serbia – Alo media system and Insajder team along with their subsidiary companies. They received a total of more than 70 million dinars in previous competitions.
Insajder Team received 2.5 million, while Alo media system received a total of 5.5 million dinars.
Their joint subsidiary company, Best Media Team, which has purchased several local media outlets in Serbia since the beginning of the year, has won more than 36 million dinars in media competitions to date. This has been allocated as follows: 10 million dinars for TV-5 Užice, 9 million for Radio Televizija Bačka Palanka, 6 million for Konzum lav Čačak, 4,950,000 dinars for the Information Center in Priboj, 5 million for Televizija V5 from Valjevo, and 1.3 million for Lotel Plus.
INI media, which is co-owned by Alo media system and publishes the unregistered television and portal NišTV, has received one million dinars today for project co-financing of media content in Pirot and as much as 25 million in Niš.
Furthermore, regarding the amount of funding, the media houses belonging to the group of Radoica Milosavljević have received nearly 60 million dinars so far, specifically for RTV Kruševac, TV Pirot, TV Leskovac, RTV Caribrod, TV Požega, RTV Brus, and Kanal M.
The media outlets of Vladan Stefanović from Subotica – VTV, Magazin Dani, Radio Subotica, and City Radio have received a total of 23.3 million dinars to date, while the media houses of Aleksandar Vučić from Šid – Sremska S television and Sremske novine, in which he has just over six percent ownership, have been co-financed to this point in the amount of nearly 18 million dinars.
The media of Slavko Stijaković, comprising 14 outlets, has so far received support worth more than 13 million dinars. This includes the publishers Radio Fruška Gora, Televizija Fruška Gora, Vidik sa Cera, Peto-tri 1941, Portal Ćilim, Vojvoda 1914, Narcis and jorgovan, Omorika and bor, Portal Lazarica, Portal Koštana, Heroji Morave, Portal Ramonda, Braničevski kas, and Plavinac.
Interestingly, Zaple Media Group, which only launched several local media outlets at the beginning of this year with Gradimir Banković from the Center for Social Stability as the editor-in-chief, has received support for two projects so far – 2.1 million in Užice and one million dinars in Požega.
