The Permanent Working Group for the Safety of Journalists visited Požega and Kosjerić on June 5th.

The event is organized by ANEM and the OSCE Mission in Serbia.

One of the reasons for this visit is the attack on N1 cameraman Marjan Vučić, which occurred on May 15, as well as other incidents reported by the media.

The meeting, which will be attended by local journalists, prosecutors, and police representatives from Čačak, Užice, Kosjerić, and Požega, will take place at the Hotel Požega (Nikola Pašić Street No. 6) from 11 AM to 1 PM. Afterward, the SRG delegation will visit Kosjerić to familiarize themselves with all the details regarding the aforementioned incidents.

The SRG consists of representatives from UNS, NUNS, NDNV, ANEM, AM, and AOM, with the OSCE Mission in Serbia participating as an observer. Since 2023, the SRG has visited 18 cities and engaged in discussions with over 400 local journalists, prosecutors, and police officers.
