The third training session for the safety of female journalists and media workers was held in Inđija.

The training, which was preceded by a meeting of the Permanent Working Group on the Safety of Journalists, was attended by female journalists from various editorial offices in Inđija, Stara Pazova, and Novi Sad.

"We strive to create a safe, female space where we share experiences that remain within our circle. We open up issues, but we also look at how to close them, how to build alliances, and how to support one another," said Jovana Gligorijević.

Ana Manojlović added that this is not a classic training where participants passively sit and listen, but a space for exchanging stories and support among colleagues who have faced numerous challenges in the past year, especially those working in Vojvodina's media. She encourages them to join this unique activity.

This training is the third of ten that will be held by the end of 2026, organized by ANEM as part of the "System for the Prevention of Violence and Protection of Journalists" project supported by the European Union.

By the end of the project, another training session is planned in Belgrade and six in other cities in Serbia for female journalists in local media, with the dates to be announced later.

In recent years, ANEM has successfully organized general safety training for journalists in more than 20 cities across Serbia. Aware of the rising trend of attacks on female journalists and the multifaceted threats to their safety, a training program tailored specifically for female journalists and other media workers has been designed in collaboration with members of the group Journalists Against Violence Against Women.
