The initiative of the Media Association, titled "Make Every Media Visible," aims to increase the transparency and accessibility of all media to advertisers, selection committees, and both domestic and international donors.

Two months later, a new competition, but the outcome is the same – another withdrawal of candidates from the selection of members of the Regulatory Body for Electronic Media Council. After 78 authorized proposers and 16 candidates withdrew from the process, it is clear that this attempt to form the REM Council, which has not existed for more than six months, has failed.

As further evidence that the security situation for professional journalists is not improving but is instead drastically worsening or, at the very least, stagnating for years, we reiterate a two-year-old text about the continuous attacks on Brankica Stanković. The Association of Independent Electronic Media once again condemns the insults and attacks from the stands during sporting events directed at Brankica and urges the relevant authorities to identify and prosecute those responsible.

The Journalists' Association of Serbia (UNS) has today submitted a complaint to the Parliamentary Committee for Culture and Information regarding the actions of this committee in the process of determining the list of candidates for members of the REM Council.
