SRG in Bajina Bašta: Media and Citizens Under Pressure Ahead of Local Elections on March 29
Members of the Permanent Working Group for the Safety of Journalists (SRG) held a meeting in Bajina Bašta with media representatives and prosecutors from this and neighboring cities who report on the pre-election campaign and will monitor the elections in that city, Lučani, and Sevojno. This is the fourth meeting in municipalities and cities where elections will be held on March 29, aimed at agreeing on mechanisms for quick responses to potential attacks on journalists, which have been recorded in numerous locations where local elections have taken place.

SRG in Kula: Support for Local Media During Reporting on Local Elections on March 29
Members of the Permanent Working Group for the Safety of Journalists (SRG) held a meeting in Kula with journalists from media outlets in this and surrounding cities who are reporting on the electoral campaign and will be monitoring the elections. This is the third meeting in municipalities and cities where elections will take place on March 29, aimed at agreeing on mechanisms for rapid response to potential attacks on journalists, which have been recorded in numerous locations where local elections have been held.

SRG in Aranđelovac: Incidents and attacks on journalists must be avoided on the day of local elections, March 29.
In every location on the day of local elections in the past few months in Serbia, there have been violent incidents, violent obstruction of media workers, and attacks on journalists. The attacks most often occur from violent groups that are identified as the security of the ruling party. The police have not protected journalists in any of these cases, even when they were present at such situations, said Veran Matić, President of the Managing Board of the Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) and member of the Permanent Working Group for the Safety of Journalists.
