Movies and series come first: Half of the citizens of Serbia say they watch TV multiple times a week.
Eight out of ten citizens of Serbia claim to watch television at least once a week, while half of them do so more frequently, as reported by the Ipsos agency on Instagram.

According to their research, television is more popular among older generations: 65 percent of baby boomers (60+ years old) and 63 percent of Generation X members (45–60 years old) watch TV multiple times a day. Among the youth, this habit is considerably less common—44 percent of millennials (29–44 years old) and 35 percent of Generation Z members (15–28 years old) do the same.
Additionally, as noted, as much as 15 percent of Generation Z does not watch television at all, while this figure is only three percent for baby boomers.
Generational differences lead to significant deviations from the average in certain categories: Generation Z more frequently follows music programs (19%), while millennials show above-average interest in cartoons (8%) and children's programs (5%), which is expected given that this generation is at a life stage where young children are present in households, according to Ipsos.
Generation X has above-average viewership of news programs (38%) and reality TV (5%), while baby boomers stand out for their interest in news (46%) and documentary programs (37%), as well as quiz shows (28%).
In terms of content, films are the most watched (56%), followed by series (45%), news programs (32%), sports (31%), quiz shows (23%), documentaries (18%), and music programs (15%). Cooking shows and cartoons are watched by five percent of the population, while children's programs account for three percent. Less than three percent indicate that they enjoy watching reality shows.
Ipsos points out that television programming is still predominantly viewed on traditional TVs (87%). Nearly a quarter of the population occasionally uses a laptop or desktop computer, 29 percent use mobile phones, and seven percent use tablets.
