The City of Niš allocated over four million dinars to the publisher of the unregistered Niš TV.
The City Administration for Social and Family Protection, Education, Culture, and Sports of the city of Niš has allocated over four million dinars this year to the company INI media LLC Niš, which is the publisher of the recently launched Niš TV, which is not yet officially registered in the Media Registry of the Business Registers Agency, nor does it have a cable broadcasting license issued by the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Media (REM).

Namely, by a decision dated November 3, the city administration of Niš has decided to co-finance the project of this company through a cash grant amounting to 4,028,400 dinars. The funds were approved in accordance with the rules for granting aid of minimal value - de minimis aid.
As stated in the decision, the aim of the project "Eco Awareness for a Sustainable Future" is to raise citizens' awareness of the importance of preventive behavior in environmental preservation.
The decision also notes that the proposed project "meets the conditions for the allocation of funds through cash grants as prescribed by the Law on Public Information and Media and the Regulation, that the proposed activities are in accordance with Article 15 of the Law on Public Information and Media, and that they significantly contribute to the realization of the public interest in the field of public information in the territory of the city of Niš."
It is also added that the requested funds do not exceed five percent of the total allocated funds for achieving the public interest in the field of public information.
INI Media Niš is owned by the Alo Media System (51 percent), which publishes the newspaper and portal Alo, while the remaining 49 percent is owned by Bojan Avramović, who was the commissioner of SNS Pantelej and the director of the Regional Development Agency "Jug." He ran independently in the 2020 and 2024 elections.
This company, according to media reports, is the publisher of Niš TV, which began broadcasting its programs this year, although it is not officially registered as a media outlet and does not have a license from REM.
The first guest on Niš TV on May 18 was the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić.
Only the portal of this television, nistv.rs, is registered in the Media Registry, but only as of August 28 of this year.
