Competitions in Novi Pazar: A City That Has Been Allocating 70 to 87 Percent of Its Budget to a Single Media Outlet for Years

This local government, which has the second-largest budget for these purposes after Niš, has been allocating the highest percentage of funds from the total amount designated for media content to the same media outlet – RTV Novi Pazar – for years. In 2024, this media outlet received 32.2 million or 82.5 percent of the total funds for media projects, while a year earlier it was 36.9 million or 80.2 percent, and in 2022 it was 39.5 million or 82.3 percent.

RTV Novi Pazar also received the largest share of the "cake" from the City of Novi Pazar in 2021 – 46.9 million out of 54 million, which is 86.85 percent. In 2019, this media outlet was allocated 45 million or 70.3 percent of the total budget, while the percentage in 2018 was 86.7 percent, specifically 45.6 million out of 52.6 million.

RTV Novi Pazar holds the record for the funds received through public competitions for project co-financing at various levels of government in Serbia.
