The ministry, the province, and 120 local governments have announced media competitions.

The Ministry of Information and Telecommunications, the Provincial Secretariat in Vojvodina, and 120 local governments have announced 135 competitions for project co-financing of media content, as stated in the database of the Unified Information System (UIS) of the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications.

The deadline for announcing media competitions is until March 1.

The Ministry of Information and Telecommunications has announced nine competitions this year - for the improvement of professional standards, for media content intended for the Serbian people in the countries of the region, for persons with disabilities, for media in Kosovo and Metohija, for media content in the languages of national minorities, and for television, radio, internet media, and print media and news agencies.

This year, the Ministry has allocated 60 million more for this purpose than in 2025. The increase is evident with 6 million more for the improvement of professional standards, 10 million more for Kosovo and Metohija, 3.5 million more for print media and agencies, 24.5 million more for television, and 17 million more for radio.

Funds were reduced only for internet media by one million dinars compared to last year, while other competitions remained at the same level.

On the other hand, the Vojvodina Secretariat has announced two competitions - for media content and for the improvement of professional standards, for which significantly less funding has been allocated than in 2025. Funding for the improvement of professional standards has been reduced by nine million, and for media content by 36 million.

In addition to the Ministry and the province, 120 local governments have announced competitions to date, with Novi Sad announcing two competitions - for media content and for standards, and Sremska Mitrovica announcing as many as four - for internet media, television, radio, and print media.

Last year, according to the records of JIS, a total of 181 competitions were announced.
