Every month, there is a new record in the number of reported attacks on journalists. This should trigger all alarms, not only because of the journalists but also because of the citizens, who make decisions based on the news. The problem is that the number of attacks indicates that the perpetrators do not back down, institutions do not react, and the public is becoming desensitized.

The hybrid nineties – this is how the state in which critical media find themselves is increasingly described. We have not moved away from unsigned works that creators present as documentary films; however, hacker and bot attacks on websites and social media have been added to the arsenal, along with almost daily online threats. Institutions seem to only formally register this. And we have no choice but to document the reality that surrounds us, whatever it may be, as our profession obliges us to do so.
