Another anniversary of the assassination of journalist and editor-in-chief of Dnevni Telegraf and Evropljanin, Slavko Ćuruvija, has been marked. He remains a symbol of unpunished violence against journalists and the enduring pressure on freedom of expression.

Threats, physical attacks, SLAPP lawsuits, exhaustion, and silencing. In a sort of war against journalists, the space for independent and verified reporting is systematically shrinking.
