Press – Don't Shoot: 7 Episodes

Journalists, photojournalists, and cameramen wearing helmets, gas masks, and mandatory PRESS vests have become a common sight. When we add the statistics – in the year following the collapse of the canopy in Novi Sad and the death of 16 citizens – it is clear that journalists have become open targets.

The number of attacks has doubled compared to last year. The attacks come from thugs, paramilitary forces, and – most dangerously – from the police themselves.

The intent is clear: to remove journalists from the scene, where they can uncover or shed light on what those in power want to hide. The ultimate goal is to prevent citizens from receiving accurate and truthful information.

In such an environment, the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes Against Journalists, marked on November 2, takes on additional significance.
