Radovan Seratlić, reporter and host of TV Nova, recipient of the "Gordana Suša" award.
Radovan Seratlić, a journalist at TV Nova, is this year's recipient of the Regional Award for Television Journalism “Gordana Suša,” which is awarded by NUNS in collaboration with partner associations from Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The formal award ceremony, which is being held for the fourth time, will take place on Monday, February 2, at 6 PM, at the Belgrade Center for Cultural Decontamination (CZKD).
The “Gordana Suša” award is presented for exceptional achievements in television journalism, and this year's recipient has demonstrated and confirmed responsible and uncompromising journalistic conduct in the television medium, in accordance with the universal ethical code of journalists and in the service of the public interest, which were the fundamental criteria guiding the jury.
The jury stated that Radovan Seratlić succeeded in raising professional standards to an additional level of extraordinary originality - on two wheels.
“By following the student cycling ‘Tour to Strasbourg’ and cycling alongside the students, Seratlić – taking all the risks of pedaling while live reporting on the student mission – showed and proved that all the principles of objective, professional, and responsible journalism can be unified at the same time, with confidence and eloquence enhanced by a new dimension – live reports during the ride, along with statements, interviews, and journalistic impressions…” it is noted in the explanation of Radovan Seratlić. It adds that on the tour, which spanned approximately 1,400 kilometers, Seratlić conveyed that journalistic ethics and professional codes – regardless of circumstances – can and should always be in the service of the public interest, with a clear but unobtrusive stance.
The finalists for the award also included Danka Derifaj and Nataša Kovačev.
The Independent Journalists' Association of Serbia established the Regional Award for Television Journalism in 2022 in collaboration with partner organizations from the region and with the support of the Suša family, aiming to preserve and maintain the memory of Gordana Suša (1946 – 2021), one of the best Serbian and Yugoslav television journalists and president of NUNS from 1999 to 2002, remembered for her exceptional professionalism, great courage, and uncompromising fight for media freedom and human rights.
Previous award winners include Hrvoje Krešić, a journalist from Nova TV in Zagreb, Ivana Dragičević, a journalist from TV N1 Croatia, and Maja Nikolić, a journalist from the Belgrade editorial office of N1.
This year's jury was composed of: Sanja Kljajić (vice president of NUNS), Borka Rudić (general secretary of the BH Journalists Association), Hrvoje Zovko (president of the Croatian Journalists' Association), previous award winner Maja Nikolić, as well as friends and colleagues of Gordana Suša, journalists Branka Mihajlović and Velimir Ilić.
The award was supported by the Media Diversity Institute (London, UK) and the Institute for Media and Diversity – Western Balkans. We also extend our gratitude to the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium in Belgrade, as well as sculptor Petar Hranuelija and designer Andrej Dolinka.
