The fees for members of the commissions evaluating media content in the competitions for project co-financing this year ranged from 2,000 dinars to 70,000 dinars.

The Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) has published an analysis of the co-financing process for media content projects in Serbia for the year 2025. Summarizing the past year, it can be concluded that, regarding the co-financing of media projects, no progress in the right direction has been made. Quite the opposite.

More than one-fifth of local media journalists in Serbia earn less than 50,000 dinars per month, and the same number have salaries between 51,000 and 65,000 dinars, according to research conducted by the Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) among 60 local media journalists.

As part of the project "System for the Prevention of Violence and Protection of Journalists," the Association of Independent Electronic Media, together with its partners the Center for the Development of Local Media (CRLM) from Požarevac and Insider TV, aims to improve the system for protecting journalists and media workers. One of the project activities includes the preparation of a report by CRLM on the state of local media, addressing security, financial, and all other relevant aspects concerning the independence and professionalism of the media.

When discussing project co-financing for media in 2023 and 2024, one can say for certain that both years have been marked by new media laws.

As part of the project "System for the Prevention of Violence and Protection of Journalists," the Association of Independent Electronic Media, along with partners the Center for the Development of Local Media (CRLM) from Požarevac and Insider TV, aims to enhance the system for the protection of journalists and media workers. One of the project's activities is the preparation of a report by CRLM on the state of local media, addressing both security and financial aspects, as well as any other relevant factors impacting the independence and professionalism of the media.

The research was conducted within the framework of the project "Strengthening Media Capacity for Media Sector Reform in Serbia," supported by the European Commission (contract no. 2022/441-670), and is being implemented by the Media Association, the Association of Online Media (AOM), the Independent Journalists' Association of Vojvodina (NDNV), the Independent Association of Journalists of Serbia (NUNS), the Business Association of Local and Independent Media "Local Press," and the Slavko Ćuruvija Foundation during the period from February 2023 to January 2025.
