The Independent Journalists' Association of Vojvodina (NDNV) expresses deep concern over the serious violation of academic and ethical principles at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad, following the leak of internal faculty correspondence to regime tabloids. This shameful act aims to discredit the Department of Media Studies, one of the spaces for free thought at the university.

The Slavko Ćuruvija Foundation announced that in September it registered 141 verbal attacks by state officials and members of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) on critical media and journalists, which, according to the statement, is four more than in August.

The Monitoring and Analysis Department of the Regulatory Body for Electronic Media (REM) published a report on October 7 based on a complaint filed by the organization CRTA in September against the television station Informer for its reporting on student Nikolina Sinđelić.

The City of Čačak has announced the second call for project co-financing of media content for the year 2025, as the allocated funds in the budget were not fully distributed in the previously announced competition.

All 43 police forces in England and Wales, the British Transport Police, and the Counter Terrorism Policing have appointed officers responsible for the safety of journalists, reports the BBC.

"I started looking over my shoulder on the street and avoiding going out after dark. My son was six years old at the time, and it was difficult to explain to him why the police visited us every day. He would go out to play in front of our building, and I would watch him, thinking that if someone really wanted to harm us, they could do so by hurting my child. I reduced both my outings and his, limiting our life to only what was absolutely necessary. The fear grew in me and in my entire family. As time went on, it became increasingly difficult – not just for me, but for my loved ones as well."

One of the key locations for nearly all protests and demonstrations over the last thirty years has been Radio Television of Serbia. Detested in the 1990s as the main tool of regime propaganda, in the years following the October 5 changes, it made certain staffing and programming efforts to establish trust with viewers and listeners. However, a few months ago, due to dissatisfaction with its reporting, students blocked it, an action that did not occur even during the rule of Slobodan Milošević when it was considered the "TV Bastille."
