ANEM alarm: Following the announcement of the student's murder, a member of the SNS Executive Board spreads hate speech against the media.
Member of the Main Board of the largest ruling party SNS, Siniša Vučinić, after recently announcing on Informer the murder of student P. C., has now posted a message on social media spreading hate speech and targeting and insulting citizens who are protesting, as well as journalists and the media.

In a post on Instagram, he stated that "blockaders and pro-NATO opposition are traitors of the Serbian people, potential killers, Ustashas, and terrorists who are strongly promoted and incited to evil by the terrorist and fascist media N1, TV Nova, Nova S, Danas, and Vreme, which is edited by the proven Ustasha and pedophile Filip Švarm, and similar individuals."
We remind you that Vučinić has been spreading false news with impunity, accompanied by obligatory hate speech and discreditation. Nineteen years ago, he claimed that a murder of three activists from the non-governmental sector—Natasa Kandić, Sonja Biserko, and Biljana Kovačević Vučo—was being prepared. In 2009, Vučinić was arrested for threatening journalist Miloš Vasić of "Vreme" with death and for threatening Žarko Korać, the president of the Social Democratic Union.
The Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) strongly condemns the spread of hate speech against citizens and journalists and warns that such narratives and incitement to aggression further endanger the safety of those who are targeted in this manner.
The same media have been targets of negative campaigns and targeting for years by the highest representatives of the authorities in Serbia, pro-government tabloids, television stations, and portals. This has intensified particularly in the last few months since civil protests began, leading to a record number of threats, pressure, and attacks on journalists and media workers in 2025.
“ANEM has repeatedly reminded that representatives of the authorities and the ruling party must be aware of their responsibility for every word spoken in public and has urged an end to the targeting and negative campaigns against the media and dissenters, as such incendiary statements can have dangerous consequences for the safety of those individuals and their families. We call on all representatives of the authorities and the ruling party to publicly condemn and distance themselves from such statements made by individuals that further contribute to the heated and negative atmosphere in society and the state,” stated Veran Matić, president of the ANEM Management Board and member of the Permanent Working Group for the Safety of Journalists.
