The journalist of the newspaper Danas, Vojin Radovanović, received a threatening message with identical content from the same account that had previously sent threats to Smiljana Milinkov, the head of the Department of Journalism at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad, as well as to at least two other professors, one journalist, and one political activist.

ANEM alarm: Series of threats against journalists, professors, and political activists

Since there is no mutual connection among them, we reasonably believe that the number of individuals who have received messages of a similar nature is significantly higher. The common narrative of these threats relates to the message, "the black hand has marked you," which clearly indicates the sender's intent to intimidate.

“We reported the threat directed at Vojin Radovanović to the Prosecutor’s Office for High-Tech Crime, along with the addition that the same threats were received by multiple individuals. Professor Milinkov reported the threat to the police on September 15, but has not yet received a call from the prosecutor's office. Since a larger number of people have been targeted by threats at different times, we ask the authorities to prioritize identifying the sender and to stop their intimidation actions,” stated Veran Matić, President of the Board of the Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM), member of the Permanent Working Group for the Safety of Journalists, and operator of the Safe Line for reporting threats and attacks on journalists.
