ANEM calls on the media to contact 0800 100 115 in the event of interference in reporting from meetings and protests.
The Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) calls on all journalists, photojournalists, cameramen, and other media workers to report via the Safe Line 0800 100 115 in case of any disruptions to their work or threats to their safety during coverage of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) rally on Saturday, June 27, in Belgrade, or the student protest in Kraljevo on Sunday, June 28.

All journalists have access to this free phone number and the direct line of ANEM through which media representatives can obtain explanations regarding the legal treatment of incidents and the procedures that need to be initiated in order to report threats to safety to the relevant institutions, police, and prosecutors.
“We hope that the events over the weekend will proceed without any violence and without any problems, and that the competent authorities will protect and enable all media workers to carry out their work without hindrance. We know that there have been very serious violent situations against journalists at previous similar events, so if any unforeseen situations occur, violent threats arise, or you simply notice any suspicious circumstances, please contact 0800 100 115,” stated Veran Matić, President of the ANEM Board of Directors, member of the Permanent Working Group for the Safety of Journalists, and operator of the Safe Line for Journalists.
Through the Safe Line for Journalists launched by ANEM in 2022, over 400 reports were recorded, in the following year more than 360, in 2024 around 370, and during the previous year over 600 calls. ANEM has documented more than 190 various forms of attacks and threats against journalists and newsrooms, of which 83 were reported to prosecutors and 25 to the police.
The OSCE Mission to Serbia supported ANEM's project “24/7 SOS Hotline for Assistance to Journalists and Other Vulnerable Media Workers,” as part of the EU-funded project “Strengthening Freedom of Expression and Media Freedom in Serbia.”
