International media organizations in Vienna laid 16 white roses in the Danube for the victims of the canopy collapse in Novi Sad.
Representatives of the Council of Europe Platform for the Protection of Journalism and Safety of Journalists, which consists of various media organizations and organizations engaged in media freedom, laid 16 white roses in the Danube this morning in Vienna as a memorial to the victims of the canopy collapse in Novi Sad and as a sign of support for the people in Serbia.

The Secretary General of the European Federation of Journalists (EFJ), Ricardo Gutieres, told ANEM that it seemed natural for them, on the eve of the first anniversary of the tragedy in Novi Sad, to pay tribute to the victims in Vienna, a city through which the Danube flows.
"This is also our expression of respect for the thousands of students and citizens who are fighting for democracy, the rule of law, and media freedom in Serbia. Our message is clear: we stand with them and with all democrats who are facing repression from Serbian authorities," Gutieres stated.
