Response to Ana Brnabić: "I'm waiting to see what you have planned next."

The Tanjug news lacks the full name of the Council of Europe platform that serves to protect journalism and the safety of journalists.

Tanjug also lacks the news from March 3, which is the key reason for the dilemma faced by the President of Parliament.

For two weeks, Serbia has been characterized on the basis of a report by 15 partner organizations on this Council of Europe platform as the "main hotspot for attacks on media freedom".

It would be good for Ana Brnabić to know that on the day she requested this meeting, I received a death threat from what she calls a “fantastic organization” - the Center for Social Stability, which has already been reported to the prosecution.

In a social media post, I was told: “If any of you see Veran Matić in the next month or two, tell him he is not the only (pseudo)journalist who has grown a beard and to be a little more patient; the continuation is coming soon… ”

I remind you that Tomislav Nikolić stated on February 23, 2003: “If any of you see Zoran Đinđić somewhere in the next month or two, tell him that Tito also had a problem with his leg before his death.”

Zoran Đinđić was killed shortly after these words with an injured leg.

I have been wearing a beard for as long as I can remember, just as I recall that the murdered Slavko Ćuruvija had a beard.

It would be good for Ana Brnabić to argue with me that the encrypted message from the Center for Social Stability following the article about me is not a serious death threat.

And that those who write such messages are not spokespersons for the top of the government who no longer shy away from such formulated death threats.

I am waiting to see what you plan to do next to further convince Strasbourg, Brussels, and Vienna that the political leadership of Serbia is the key inspirer and instigator of threats to the safety of journalists.

See you on the Council of Europe platform.

Veran Matić, President of the Board of the Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) and member of the Permanent Working Group for the Safety of Journalists
