The first training for the safety of female journalists was held in Belgrade, during the registration period for November 15th.

This training is the first of ten that will be held by the end of 2026, organized by ANEM as part of the project "System for Violence Prevention and Journalist Protection," supported by the European Union, the Kingdom of Norway, the Balkan Fund for Democracy, and the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications.

The next training is scheduled for Saturday, November 15, from 9 AM to 4 PM. Female journalists, editors, photographers, and camerawomen working in Belgrade newsrooms can apply via email at anem@anem.org.rs. By the end of the project, another training session is planned in Belgrade and seven more in other cities in Serbia for female journalists in local media, with dates to be announced later.

In recent years, ANEM has successfully organized general safety training for journalists in more than 20 cities across Serbia. Aware of the growing trend of attacks on female journalists and the multifaceted threats to their safety, in collaboration with members of the group Women Journalists Against Violence, a training program tailored specifically for female journalists and other media workers has been developed.
