The editorial team of Glasa Zaječara is exposed to constant threats, targeting, and physical attacks.
Journalist Voice of Zaječar Miljko Stojanović has, for the fourth time in the past month, been the target of threats, attacks, and targeting.

The rhetoric used by leading politicians and tabloids spills over into threats against journalists and opposition lawmakers. On the portal Glas Zaječara, following the news about threats to the member of parliament Dragana Rašić, a new threat ensued: "I will shove that fist into your ugly face, you Nazi terrorist," and then journalist Miljko Stojanović was targeted from the same profile: "And Miljko's timing is ticking tick tock... He has become indebted, and the time for repayment is coming."
A week ago, he received threats from an individual who had threatened him six years ago, for whom there is an active search warrant.
A month ago, Miljko, along with his colleague from the editorial team, Anđela Risantijević, was insulted and targeted through fabricated photographs and videos, while Anđela was attacked and insulted via Facebook and private messages.
Together with other journalists, Miljko Stojanović was attacked by security personnel while covering an election rally of the ruling party near Zaječar, who prevented him from performing his reporting duties by pushing him away and taking the mobile phone he was using to record the event.
ANEM demands that the authorities, primarily the police, protect the journalists of Glas Zaječara, as well as that all those who obstruct journalists in the performance of their duties be prosecuted.
We also call on the authorities to prosecute the daily hate speech of politicians from the executive branch, who incite violence and threaten journalists, activists, and anyone who thinks differently.
