The suspect in the attack on Insider journalist Nataša Mijušković has been interrogated, and the prosecution has requested detention.
Jelenko Pijevac, the suspect who threatened Insider journalist Nataša Mijušković on November 2, was interrogated at the prosecutor's office, after which a request was made to the court to impose detention on him, the First Basic Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade announced.

As stated in the announcement, Pijevac presented his defense during the hearing. Following that, the prosecution submitted a request to the First Basic Court to impose detention, finding that there are circumstances indicating a risk of flight, as well as a risk of reoffending with a violent crime if he remains at large.
Pijevac is suspected of committing the crime of coercion by threatening a journalist from Insajder with serious bodily harm, forcing her to delete recordings from her phone. The entire incident occurred in a fenced tent settlement in front of the National Assembly, where a large number of police officers were present.
Nataša Mijušković, while reporting from the gathering in front of the Assembly, entered the fenced area where she was allowed in by police officers, where she took several photographs and recorded one video. At the moment she attempted to leave the fenced area, she was surrounded by a group of men, preventing her from leaving.
One of the gathered individuals grabbed her by the arm and, under the threat of "breaking all her bones," forced her to delete the recordings from her phone.
Pijevac was detained yesterday. According to the prosecution, they will undertake all necessary evidentiary actions during the evidentiary proceedings to establish the exact and complete factual situation, after which they will make a decision on further proceedings. The First Basic Court in Belgrade will decide on the request for detention.
