EU Delegation Head in Serbia with Journalistic Associations: A Supportive Environment for the Media is Essential
The Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Serbia, Andreas von Bekerat, stated today, after a meeting with several media associations in Serbia, that the media play a crucial role in the public interest and must have a secure and supportive environment.
Fon Bekerat announced on the social media platform X that he had a productive meeting with representatives of the Independent Association of Journalists of Serbia, the Association of Journalists of Serbia, the Association of Independent Electronic Media, and the Slavko Ćuruvija Foundation.
“I heard opinions and expertise on issues that are in focus for the EU, as well as Serbia's accession,” noted the European diplomat.
