The representative of ANEM, Saša Mirković, participated as a speaker at the meeting of the Permanent Council of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) held on July 16 in Vienna.
In a speech dedicated to the previous collaboration between ANEM and the media department of the OSCE Mission in Serbia, Mirković emphasized that over the past two decades, "we have shared the same fate in all our collective ups and downs, hopes and disappointments, worries and rare joys. In turbulent times, things could have been significantly better, but also incomparably worse if it had not been for the media department of the OSCE Mission in Serbia, whose unobtrusive mobilizing role has often been crucial in ensuring that we never give up and continue to fight."
At the meeting of the Permanent Council of the OSCE, a representative of the Association of Independent Electronic Media spoke about the numerous current attacks on journalists and media in Serbia, the activities of the Permanent Working Group on the Safety of Journalists, amendments and supplements to media laws, the procedure for selecting members of the REM Council, and answered questions from interested representatives of OSCE member states.
