SRG filed a criminal complaint due to the recent threats against Veran Matić.
Journalistic and media associations from the Permanent Working Group for the Safety of Journalists have submitted an amendment to the criminal complaint against the Center for Social Stability due to the recent threats directed at Veran Matić, the President of the Management Board of the Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM).

Following the report regarding the broadcast of the video segment "Evil Age 2" on national television stations B92 and Prva, as well as the cable channels Informer and Dokumentarna TV, which targets Veran Matić, part of the SRG has supplemented the report due to this center's posts on social media.
The Center for Social Stability has continued to post threatening messages to Veran Matić via its accounts on social media platforms X and Instagram. The posts in question are from March 17 and 18. One post states: "If any of you see Veran Matić in the next month or two, tell him he is not the only (pseudo) journalist who has grown a beard and to be just a little more patient; the sequel is coming soon..."
As stated in the explanation for the report supplement, it is unequivocally a direct death threat. The phrase: "If any of you see him in the next month or two..." refers to the "prophetic" statement made by Tomislav Nikolić before the assassination of Zoran Đinđić. Instead of Zoran Đinđić, the reference here is to a meeting with Veran Matić, compared to the "(pseudo) journalist" who has grown a beard. It is emphasized that only two journalists wore beards and met the same fate as Zoran Đinđić: Milan Pantić and Slavko Ćuruvija.
The journalistic part of the SRG proposes that the competent public prosecutor's office take all necessary measures within the shortest possible timeframe, investigate the claims in the context of all previously submitted evidence, and file the appropriate indictment against those responsible for the disputed content.
The SRG, established in January 2017, comprises representatives from the Supreme Public Prosecutor's Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, as well as six journalistic and media associations – the Association of Journalists of Serbia (UNS), the Independent Association of Journalists of Serbia (NUNS), the Independent Association of Journalists of Vojvodina (NDNV), the Media Association (AM), the Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM), the Association of Online Media (AOM), and the OSCE Mission in Serbia in an observer status.
