For Freedom of Reporting: A Support Gathering for Attacked Female and Male Journalists on November 24 at the Corner of Vlajkovićeva and Nikola Pašić Square.
Journalistic and media associations are calling on the entire journalistic community to gather on Monday, November 24th, at 7 PM in front of the National Assembly of Serbia (corner of Vlajkovićeva Street and Nikola Pašić Square) to express professional solidarity with the N1 team that was attacked at this very location, as well as with all female and male journalists who have been targeted while reporting in the public interest during the past period.
Come with cameras and phones – both symbolically and literally – to do our job on the ground: document, ask questions, record facts. Let us convey a dignified and clear message: enough of the intimidation, impunity, and neglect of the legal obligations of institutions.
We remind you that, according to the data from NUNS, since the beginning of the year we have recorded hundreds of attacks, threats, and pressures on journalists.
The call is also extended to citizens – come support your colleagues who work daily under pressure, threats, and insults.
