The second training session for the safety of female journalists and media workers was held.

The training was attended by young female journalists and journalism students.

Jovana Gligorijević stated that when female journalists gather, they do not only talk about work but also about everything that comes with that job—from pressures to ways to protect themselves.

“That is why we organized a workshop on the safety of female journalists, but above all, a space for sharing experiences, stories, and support. This is not just another workshop where you passively sit and listen to lectures,” notes Gligorijević.

This training is the second of ten that will be held until the end of 2026, organized by ANEM, within the framework of the project "System for Preventing Violence and Protecting Journalists," supported by the European Union and the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications.

By the end of the project, one more training session is planned in Belgrade and seven in other cities across Serbia for female journalists in local media, with dates to be announced later.

In recent years, ANEM has successfully organized general safety training for journalists in over 20 cities across Serbia. Aware of the growing trend of attacks on female journalists and the multifaceted threats to their safety, in collaboration with members of the group Female Journalists Against Violence Against Women, a training specifically tailored for female journalists and other media workers was designed.
