As part of the project, a significant activity is specialized training for the safety of female media workers in newsrooms and on the field. By the end of 2026, three training sessions are planned to be held in Belgrade for female media workers from newsrooms in the capital, as well as seven in other cities for female journalists in local media.

The first sessions will be organized on Saturday, October 18, and Saturday, November 15, from 9 AM to 4 PM, at Obilićev venac No. 2 in Belgrade. The training is designed and will be conducted by members of the group Journalists Against Violence Towards Women, Jovana Gligorijević and Ana Manojlović.

Female journalists, editors, photographers, and camera operators working in Belgrade newsrooms can apply to participate in the first session until Thursday, October 16 via email at anem@anem.org.rs.

Subsequent training sessions will be organized in regional centers such as Niš, Novi Sad, and Kragujevac, with funds provided for reimbursing travel expenses for female media workers from smaller towns around the regional centers. The training plan for local environments will be announced later.

ANEM has been successfully organizing general safety training for journalists in over 20 cities across Serbia for several years. Aware of the rising trend of attacks on female journalists and the multifaceted threats to their safety, a training program tailored specifically for female journalists and other media workers has been developed in collaboration with members of the group Journalists Against Violence Towards Women.
