The Independent Association of Journalists of Serbia (NUNS) finds it deeply problematic that Branislav Klanšček, the current President of the Management Board of RTS, has been recognized as a "regular" candidate for the position of General Director of the public service – and this by the very Management Board that decides who will be appointed to that position.

"The new competitions for the program director and seven chief and responsible editors will be announced when all conditions are met and when I assess that it is the most effective for the organization," said Goran Karadžić, the General Director of Radio-Television Vojvodina, today for UNS.

The European Federation of Journalists (EFJ) has published a report titled "Ending the Silence on Online Harassment of Journalists," which shows that online threats, smear campaigns, and digital violence against journalists have become one of the most serious challenges to media freedoms in Europe, particularly in the Western Balkan countries.
