The Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) strongly condemns the violent threats directed at the editorial staff of the local portal Vranje News and demands that the authorities promptly identify and apprehend the perpetrator, considering the seriousness of the threat. The editorial team has reported the case to the contact point of the Permanent Working Group for the Safety of Journalists at the Prosecutor's Office and provided information to the police. The case has also been reported to the Prosecutor's Office for High-Tech Crime.

The Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) strongly condemns the police's reaction during the protests in Novi Sad, which violated the autonomy of the university, excessively used force against students, journalists, and citizens, including health teams, as well as the excessive use of chemical agents such as tear gas and pepper spray.

During the live program from the gathering "Protest Against Blockades" of supporters of the ruling party in Zrenjanin, the KTV television crew was obstructed by security personnel and present police officers. They attempted to prevent the broadcast, justifying their actions with the alleged "improper parking" of the car belonging to the editor-in-chief of this television station.

In a global action, nearly 200 media outlets from at least 50 countries will simultaneously black out their front pages and homepages and suspend programming on Monday, September 1st, to demand an end to the killing of journalists in Gaza and to call for international access to the region. The Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) urges all journalists and media in Serbia to join this protest action.

The Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Novi Sad has rejected the objection of Euronews cameraman Mirko Todorović against the decision to dismiss the criminal complaint filed against Vuk Raonić due to the incident on November 5, when he tackled the cameraman to the ground in front of the SNS premises on Bulevar Oslobođenja while the cameraman was on an official assignment.

During yesterday's shameful occupation of the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad by the police, and the violation of university autonomy at the request of the dean, the subsequent protest of students and citizens in front of the faculty building once again witnessed the inadequate actions of the police, according to journalists, students, and citizens.

Journalists who attended the commemoration of the anniversary of the disappearance of Radio Priština journalists Ranko Perenić and Đura Slavuja on August 21 were recorded by plainclothes police officers, and one member of the police had a clearly visible emblem of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) on his mobile phone while he was filming them, as seen in the footage provided to ANEM by the Media Center from Čaglavica.

The Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) and the B92 Fund invite all journalists and citizens of Serbia to join the solidarity action for media workers in Gaza.

Media associations and journalist associations (Association of Independent Electronic Media, Independent Journalists Association of Serbia, Association of Journalists of Serbia, Local Press and Media Association) agreed on a proposal regarding the necessary changes in the process of project co-financing of media content, which was officially sent to the addresses of the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications.
