The Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) calls on the competent authorities to investigate the threats directed at Predrag Simonović, a columnist for the weekly magazine Radar, a regular member of NUNS, a retired member of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and a member of the Working Group for the Investigation of the Murders of Journalists Slavko Ćuruvija and Milan Pantić at the Commission for the Investigation of Journalist Murders, established by the Government of Serbia.

ANEM ALARM: New large bot attack on Nova.rs, Radar, and Danas on Instagram
A new major bot attack on the Instagram accounts of Nova.rs and the weekly publication Radar was reported today to the Prosecutor's Office for High-Tech Crime by Veran Matić, the chairman of the Management Board of the Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM), a member of the Permanent Working Group for the Safety of Journalists, and an operator on the Safe Line for Journalists at 0800 100 115.

ANEM ALARM: Criminal complaint for incitement of hatred against journalists Ina Džakula and Sanja Kosović.
The Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) calls on the relevant authorities to urgently respond to the latest case of incitement to hatred against journalists Ina Džakula and Sanja Kosović, reported to the prosecution by Veran Matić, the president of the ANEM Management Board, a member of the Permanent Working Group for the Safety of Journalists, and an operator on the Safe Line for Journalists 0800 100 115.

The prosecutor in Vranje assessed ANEM's objections as valid, ordering the separation of proceedings.

ANEM ALARM: The unacceptable equating of the journalist victim and the attacker by the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Vranje.
More than six months ago, in front of numerous witnesses, during the course of journalistic work and reporting on a fire in front of the Meteris landfill near Vranje, the director of JKP "Komrad," Zoran Dimitrijević, physically attacked journalist Jelena Stojković from Večernje novosti by grabbing her arm and seizing her mobile phone with which she was recording the event. Visible bruises were noted in the medical report. The attack on the journalist was reported to the competent prosecutor's office. The public nature of the event and the presence of numerous witnesses constituted grounds for the urgent and efficient conduct of investigative actions and the filing of charges.

ANEM ALARM: The Prosecutor's Office should investigate who is behind the abuse of the likeness and name of Brankica Stanković.
The Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) strongly condemns the misuse of the image and name of journalist and editor of Insider, Brankica Stanković, in online fraud and demands that the relevant authorities urgently investigate this case and take all necessary actions to remove the disputed content from the internet.
