The Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) expresses serious concern regarding the search of the apartment of military analyst and Weekly Nedeljnik collaborator Aleksandar Radić, the delivery of a summons for questioning to Beta agency editor Vojkan Kostić, and the targeting of Weekly Radar journalist Milan Radonjić in relation to the investigation into allegations concerning the use of a sound cannon on March 15 of last year during the protest in Belgrade.

The Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) is seriously concerned about the vandalistic act in which the car of David Gruhonjić, the son of Dinko Gruhonjić, a journalist and university professor, was damaged. They assess that this is a consequence of a long-standing toxic campaign, lynching, and targeting in public by the highest state officials and pro-government media.

The Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) has reported to the Prosecutor's Office for High-Tech Crime the death threats that were sent via social media to journalist and editor of the Lazarevac portal Pravo u centar, Marija Popović.

NUNS and ANEM strongly condemn the latest threats directed at the editorial staff of TV N1 and Veran Matić, the journalist and president of ANEM, and call on the relevant authorities to respond urgently and finally begin to act effectively in cases of threats against journalists.

The President of the Management Board of the Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) and member of the Permanent Working Group for the Safety of Journalists, Veran Matić, today gave a statement at the First Basic Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the attack and the circumstances that jeopardized his safety. He was attacked in front of the National Assembly while performing journalistic duties, during which his mobile phone, used to record a public event, was seized and later returned to him after some time.

Last night around 8 PM in front of the National Assembly of Serbia, Veran Matić, a journalist, chairman of the Board of the Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM), and member of the Permanent Working Group for the Safety of Journalists, was attacked.

The Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) strongly condemns the misuse of the likeness and name of journalist Jelena Zorić and the Balkan Investigative Network (BIRN) in online fraud, and demands that the relevant authorities urgently investigate this case and take all necessary actions to remove the disputed content from the internet.

“YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN KILLED A LONG TIME AGO WITH A MALLET TO THE HEAD, YOU DONKEY,” wrote a user under the name “Beli Bjelica” on the Facebook page of Insajder, beneath the announcement for the show “Press Don’t Shoot” and a brief statement by Vladimir Mitrić, a correspondent for Večernje novosti from Loznica. In the attachment, he spoke about what it’s like to work under police protection, his dedication to the profession, and the life of a journalist under constant threat.

Journalist of the bilingual portal Bečejski mozaik, Kristina Demeter Filipčev, received violent threats and messages of hanging, as well as disturbing messages, insults, hate speech, incitement of national hatred, brutal sexist threats and messages, and misogynistic content on the Facebook and Instagram pages of this portal following the report on the gathering titled "Parallel Actions in the Same Place in Bečej: Students Attracted Citizens, SNS Stands Empty."
