Media tycoons partnering from the budget: 132 million to Milosavljević, 50 million to the Gašić family.
The largest local media players received hundreds of millions in budget funds again this year. Radoica "Maša" Milosavljević, companies linked to Defense Minister Bratislav Gašić, Goran Lalić, and former officer Slavko Stijaković fared the best. For Vidosav Radomirović, whose media outlets began covering the protests, the amount was drastically reduced.

The Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) recently published a list of organizations that received the highest financial resources in media competitions in 2025.
The absolute record holder on this list is Zona Plus from Niš.
The television and portal operating under this company managed to secure 41,610,000 dinars from the state and local governments through 25 projects.
However, this is neither the final amount that media owned by the family of the current Minister of Defense Bratislav Gašić received in this year's competitions, nor are the Gašićs absolute champions among local media players in Serbia when it comes to the allocation of budget funds for information.
For Maša – mašala
The media owned by members of the Gašić family, which include not only Zona Plus from Niš but also NIP Pobeda, Radio Rubin, and ADD Production from Kruševac, accumulated a total of 54,240,000 dinars during 2025.
This sum of around 460,000 euros places them in second place.
Among well-known local media players, the true champion this year is Radoica Milosavljević, a businessman from Kruševac, who has acquired numerous local television stations across Serbia through privatization.
The man known to the residents of Kruševac by the nickname Maša can only say "mašala" about the amount his media outlets have gathered in this year's competitions.
A network of 12 media publishing companies owned by him collected exactly 132,000,600 dinars – 1.12 million euros.
Of the 26 media publishers on ANEM's list of organizations that received the most funding in 2025, five are owned by Radoica Milosavljević.
Radio-Television Kruševac is in fifth place on this list, having received 24,370,000 dinars for 17 projects. Television Pirot closely follows with 22,600,000 dinars for seven projects.
Milosavljević's Television Leskovac is also among the top 10 on the list, with 10 projects and 20,800,000 dinars.
Additionally, there is Radio-Television Kanal M from Paraćin (15,750,000 dinars – 14 projects) and Radio-Television Caribrod from Dimitrovgrad (13,200,000 dinars – 6 projects).
Although not on the list, other media outlets owned by him that operate under the companies Radio Brus, Santos Commerce doo Zrenjanin, Television Požega, SOS Channel Plus, TV Telemark from Čačak, RTV Bačka Palanka, and the Information Center Novi Kneževac have also received significant sums.
For Stijaković – double portion
On ANEM's list, Dnevnik Vojvodina Press from Novi Sad ranks fourth (26,182,000 dinars – 20 projects).
This company is a subsidiary of Novosadska TV, which is in 11th place, having received 19,190,000 dinars.
Novosadska TV also has another subsidiary – Radio-Television Stara Pazova, which received 4,500,000 dinars in competitions.
Formerly TV Apolo, now Novosadska TV is itself a subsidiary of the company Srbija danas doo, founded by Goran Lalić, according to data from the Business Registers Agency.
Lalić's companies received a total of 49,872,000 dinars for projects of their local editions, along with an additional 5,600,000 dinars for the portal Srbija danas.
For those who have followed the results of the media competitions organized by the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications, it will come as no surprise who ranks high in terms of the amount of money received for projects.
Media owned or co-owned by Slavko Stijaković have collected nearly 209,000 euros just from the Ministry, as Cenzolovka has already reported.
Now, as results are awaited from seven more local governments, it can be confidently stated that thanks to local competitions and the AP Vojvodina competition, Stijaković's media have managed to double the amount.
The former officer of the JNA, who owns Televizija Fruška Gora, Gradska M Televizija, Radio Breg, Radio Fruška Gora, SS Turistička Televizija 1961 doo, and a network of about twenty portals, should be satisfied with 47,810,500 dinars.
Especially considering that his internet media empire, encompassing various themes, operates on the “one man – three portals” system.
Among local media players, this year, Kopernikus Cable Network, Niš (31,490,000 dinars) and Radio-Television Novi Pazar (31,300,000 dinars) also did well.
The media of Vranjanac Zoran Veličković, operating within Radio-Television Vranje and RTV Bujanovac, received a total of 27,170,000 dinars, while a similar amount flowed to the media houses of Vladan Stefanović from Subotica, the owner of about ten local media outlets, totaling 27,135,000 dinars.
For Radomirović – little potatoes
In contrast, numerous local media outlets that reported on student and civic protests this year left the competitions with empty hands, as Cenzolovka has already reported.
Some might say that those who lose have the right to be angry, and may even invent reasons for their losses in competitive scenarios.
However, what happened this year to media owned by the Radomirović family largely supports claims that if there are words about protests in the media, then there is no talk of budget funds.
“Narodne novine” received 16,000,000 dinars in last year’s competition from the City of Niš, 800,000 dinars from the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications, and another 200,000 dinars from the Niš municipality of Medijana.
Televizija “Belle Amie” received 19,900,000 dinars solely from the City of Niš, and an additional 500,000 dinars was awarded to the radio and portal operating under this television company.
The media owned by brothers Tomislav and Vidosav Radomirović, which also include the Zaječar daily “Timok,” the weekly “Sloboda” from Pirot, and TV Sokobanja, received money from cities and municipalities in southern and eastern Serbia, as well as from the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications.
Reporting on student and civic protests has, colloquially speaking, been expensive for them. In the Niš competition, the media within RTV “Belle Amie” received 0 dinars, and the same amount was awarded to “Narodne novine.”
Niš media owned by the Radomirovićs managed to secure 1,080,000 dinars from the municipality of Medijana, where the ruling majority consists of the Citizens' Group “Dr. Vladan Milić,” and another 100,000 dinars from the City of Jagodina.
Only the Pirot “Sloboda” received a slightly larger sum than last year – 3,000,000 dinars.
With 890,000 dinars received by the weekly “Timok,” in total, the media owned by individuals who until yesterday were considered among the strongest players in southern Serbia collected 5,120,000 dinars.
This is just over one-eighth of the amount they received solely from the City of Niš when their reporting was favored by the authorities.
It seems that the student protests did not just cost them financially. Indeed, the day after “Narodne novine” reported on the protest in Belgrade as “the largest gathering in the history of Serbia,” Televizija “Belle Amie” disappeared from the offerings of the cable operator Telekom Srbija, and in some parts of Serbia, it remains unseen even today.
