The Municipality of Golubac holds the record for the lowest amount of funding for media projects.
The municipality of Golubac allocated the least amount of money for projects in this year's competitions, only 100,000 dinars. The minimum amount that can be awarded per project is 20,000 dinars, while the maximum is 50,000 dinars.

Only today, although the competition was announced on February 19, data regarding the applicants for this competition has appeared on the Unified Information System (UIS).
A member of the commission that will evaluate the projects and a representative of UNS, Ninoslav Miljković, confirmed to UNS that there had not been a single recorded application in the UIS until today, although he was informed by the municipality of Golubac earlier that three projects had been submitted for the competition.
UNS asked the Municipality of Golubac why only 100,000 dinars had been allocated for the media this year and whether they believe this amount is sufficient to fulfill the public interest in the field of public information.
As they responded, "this is a municipality that falls among the least developed, and thus does not have the capacity for a larger budget for the competition."
Additionally, in this year's commission for the municipality of Golubac, two out of three commission members are independent media experts - Dalibor Bubnjević and Dragana Kožan.
The Law on Public Information and Media stipulates that the majority of the competition commission should be composed of representatives of journalistic and media associations, if such a proposal exists.
“The selected members received the highest number of points according to the scoring list. Given that in our case we only have one journalistic and media association that meets the legal requirements for proposing commission members (UNS, editor's note), we acted based on Article 21, Paragraph 4 of the Rules on Co-financing Projects for Achieving Public Interest in the Field of Public Information and selected two media experts for the commission,” stated the municipality of Golubac to UNS.
According to data from the UNS database, there have been only four competitions announced in that municipality from 2015 to today. Of these, two competitions in 2015 and 2016 were not in compliance with regulations, and the competition from 2015 was annulled for that reason.
