Žagubica has extended the deadlines for the media competition until January 19.
The Municipality of Žagubica, which was the first to announce a competition for project co-financing of media content for the year 2026, has extended the deadline for project submissions and for committee members to January 19, instead of the originally scheduled January 12.

The Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) has immediately drawn attention to the short deadlines, considering the holidays and non-working days, as well as the fact that the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications has not published the scoring list of candidates for the project evaluation commission members for the year 2026.
In the Municipality of Žagubica, at the end of December, they responded to ANEM's inquiry that, according to the Regulation on Co-Financing Projects for Achieving Public Interest in the Field of Public Information, the registry of candidates for commission members, which is maintained in the Unified Information System, is updated by December 31 of the current year for candidates participating in the commissions for the following year’s competitions.
"Considering the above, as well as the fact that the competition of the Municipality of Žagubica is open until January 12, 2026, for project submissions and commission members, we believe there is time for interested parties to apply," stated the Municipality in their response to ANEM.
However, the Ministry has not yet published even the preliminary list of candidates, which was likely the reason for extending the deadline in Žagubica.
The total amount of funds for co-financing media content in Žagubica in the following year is eight million dinars. The minimum amount that can be allocated per project is 20,000 dinars, while the maximum is 6,400,000 dinars.
The project of the Association of Independent Electronic Media "Participatory Monitoring of the Implementation of Co-Financing Projects" is supported by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the MATRA program. ANEM is solely responsible for the content and it does not necessarily reflect the official views of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
